About Us

The story of "Rizov" begins in 1993 when the main activity of the company is trading with grains and oilseeds - wheat, barley, sunflower and millet within Bulgaria. In this year the company starts colloborating with different farmers and the first steps in international trade are made with active export of sunflower cake and wheat bran mainly to Turkey.

From that moment on the company shows rapid development, entering into other markets over the country borders and becomes more significant factor in international trade of grains and oilseeds. As a result, in 1995 Rizov ranks fifth in wheat export in the country.

Having accumulated skills and capital, in 1997, the company begins to build a new modern flour-mill complex in Shumen. The mill starts working in May 1999 with fully automatic equipment offering high performance. In 2001 the company puts into operation a warehouse for grain storage with a capacity of 10,000 tons of wheat. In 2005, Rizov turns out to be one of the leading companies in trade of oil sunflower. Relying on the loyalty and accuracy of its trade relations the company gradually gains stronger positions in international markets and is honoured with the prestigious award of GEPARD for most dynamically developing company in north-eastern Bulgaria for three consecutive years - 2007, 2008 and 2009.
